[gst-devel] where to start

hi developers,
              One of my friend from the mailing list
gave me links to download the source code.But i don't
know where and how to start.The documentation of
gstreamer guided me to develope a commandline
player.But i want GUI..Can i use MFC (or QT or GTk
)which one to use to develope a GUI..??????
