[gst-devel] filesrc consumes a lot of CPU

Hi all,

On my machine, if I play an 256k MP3 with xmms, the
CPU usage remains near 0.
If I play it through gstreamer (using the filesrc
element), the CPU usage jumps to 17%.
If I play the same file through RTSP/RTP (using vlc as
the RTSP server), the CPU usage is again near 0%...

It is like the introduction of the filesrc element
dramatically increases the CPU consumption.

Could anybody comment on this?
