[gst-devel] calculating palytime of a file before playing it

Hi
I m trying to calculate time of an input file (viz:.mp3,.avi,.3gp..etc) to
mediaplayer , I tried it using "Querying" concept of Gstreamer but it gives
total playtime when we set pipeline in play mode , I want it before that (
i.e if we create a playlist it should show totalplay time of each file
before playing it ), can any one help me regarding this
