[gst-devel] Video Recording

Hi,

I am trying to record video from my IBM web cam and encode it into mpeg 
format.
To start with tried to test if webcam is compatible with Gstreamer plugins 
by
building the pipeline as follows :-

gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src ! xvimagesink

But this just gives some dots.  Could someone pls tell if the usage is 
wrong.
Tested the camera and it works fine with gnome-meeting tool.
