[gst-devel] Which base class for decoder?

hi, 

i have to start the development of an mp3 decoder plugin for GStreamer. which base class could i derive from?

Can i use the GstBaseTransform?..but the Guide says:"Since the GstBaseTransform is based on the 1-to-1 model for filters, it may not apply well to elements such as decoders, which may have to parse properties from the stream."
