[gst-devel] still not like these version system

hi,
i already wrote about it once but now i have to face it again.

why gstreamer and gstreamer-plugins has not the same version numbers?

eg now i need gstreamer-plugins-bad but i don't know which version can i
use with rhel-5.3's:
gstreamer-0.10.20-3.el5
gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.20-3.el5
gstreamer-plugins-good-0.10.9-1.el5
is not that simple that any since filters moved from one plugin package
to another.
wouldn't it be much better to simple use the same version for both base
and plugins? what's more there is a regular release cycle so all version
is in sync then wouldn't it be better, easier and more clear for everyone?
