[gst-devel] real time video mixing

Can somebody explain the possible ways for real time video mixing with 
GStreamer? i. e. without interrupting an already playing stream, one 
should be able to mix video, image etc. to that stream.
Just consider any TV news channel. The news reader reads the news, 
relevant videos are shown on the part of the screen, news highlights are 
live scrolled at the bottom of the screen etc.
Can I do all these with GStreamer?
