0.10.x.1 refers to the latest git version. so you need to grab core/base
from git as described in http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/dev/ . If you
don't want to mess with your system install you can create an
'uninstalled' setup in your home directory - you can find the
gst-uninstalled script somewhere in the FAQ
