My company offers a gstreamer plugin for the FastVDO USB h264 encoder
on Linux (http://www.fastvdo.com/SmartCapture/). If you are on
Windows, most of the devices on the market (USB2Go, ...) offer a
directshow integration, which might work with gstreamer already.
