some examples coming to my mind, unfortunately you need specific
hardware to test them:

- gstreamer vaapi plugins.
- gst-dsp: it's quite simple to understand (or at least it was the
last time I hacked with it).
- gst-openmax: well, it doesn't grant processing will be made through
a driver, but very often it's likely to happen.
