Ahhh, thank you.

I have never seen a reference  to fakesink without the -v attached to it as
"fakesink -v" which led me to think the -v belonged to fakesink, not to the
pipeline.  Having grown up on IBM's Railroad Syntax Diagrams, I've just
never completely grasped *ix ones.
