How does one go about adding a new family of raw video formats to gstreamer?
Is this even possible or practicable?

There are various bits per pixel, 8,12,16

The 12 bits form can be packed in several ways

The components have several ordering permutations

BGGR
GBRG
RGGB
GRBG
