Adding messages to the bus

Hello all,

Now my application is working more or less, but I
still have some problems with adding messages to
the gstreamer-bus. Well, I found that I can post
a message to the bus with gst_bus_post(), but I want
to do this triggered by a user input.
For example, the user types "end" into the command-line
and the message EOS is posted on the bus.
Has anybody a idea, how I can achieve this? Some
hints for googling owuld also be nice.
