QueryDuration returning rubbish?

I have a C# WPF application using OSSBuild 0.10.7 Beta 4 with C# bindings. 
Using QueryDuration(..) method I am reading durations of XVID video files
opened in playbin2.  It works on all computers except my friend's single
core laptop on which some of the returned durations are wrong:  most of them
are read correctly, but there are a few files always returning shorter
duration, for example 863.808s instead of 1505.52s.
Any idea?
