Thanks to everyone who tested the first round and reported issues and
everyone who helped fix those blocker bugs.
Significant changes since the last pre-release:
core:
- eos handling fixes (totem only repeats twice)
- basesink: don't compensate for render-delay twice
gst-plugins-base:
- memory leak fixes
- ogg/vorbis/theora: playback fixes
- alsa: rate selection fix
- rtsp: make hostname lookup thread-safe
- xmp/exif tag writing fixes
gst-plugins-good:
- memory leak fixes
- matroskademux fixes
- disable autoplugging of pulse audio sink
variant that accepts compressed formats
(pulseaudiosink, not pulsesink), causes
problems with visualisation in
playbin2/totem. User needs to select/enable
this explicitly if needed for now
gst-plugins-ugly:
- a52dec: don't claim to support upstream
renegotiation
- lamemp3enc: output framed mp3 (better
compatibility with muxers)
gst-plugins-bad:
- build fixes
- memory leak fixes
- dtsdec: avoid crash when draining
- mpegtsmux key unit handling fixes
- many codecparser/videoparser fixes
- h264parse passthrough negotiation fix
- h264parse reverse playback fix
- camerabin2 video capture fixes
- rsndvd: re-fix menus without audio
(regression caused changes in
basetransform in core) and menus
wedging in playbin2/totem when
deinterlacing is enabled (also
caused by the bastransform
change)
- better signalling of AAC caps accepted
or produced by various elements, improves
handling of LOAS/LATM.
- mpegtsdemux: revert to previous no-more-pads
behaviour (avoids regressions, but un-fixes
other things)
Again, please test these pre-releases thoroughly with all your favourite
apps and file blocker bugs in bugzilla for any regressions or important
issues. Thanks!
Happy testing!
Cheers
-Tim
