how can I only enable the GST_DEBUG in gstelement.c?

First, here is your most important resource.

You set an environment variable GST_DEBUG=gstelement:4

gstelement may not be the correct name, but since you are referencing the c 
file, you can determine that with the info at the bottom of GstInfo.
