Getting undefined symbol: g_mutex_lock

Hi all,

I am very new to GStreamer, I downloaded version 0.10.36 from Gstreamer
website.

I followed the procedure to build GStreamer.
1. configure.
2. make 
3. make install

But when I am trying "gst-inspect", I am getting following error message:-
/usr/local/bin/gst-inspect-0.10: symbol lookup error:
/usr/local/lib/libgstreamer-0.10.so.0: undefined symbol: g_mutex_lock
