Gstreamer android

Good day.
i am interested in compiling gstreamer for android i use the following wiki
http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/wiki/GstreamerAndroid_InstallInstructions
however it give an error..

Cloning into faad...
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
Clone of 'git://git.collabora.co.uk/git/user/reynaldo/android/deps/faad'
into submodule path 'faad' failed

i try to found information on gstreamer and android however i couldn't
found any. or the one i found was old...
i saw that there is also little information abou the issue.
i want to know if there is any way to compile gsteamer forr android..

i would prefere to use gstreamer instead of ffmpeg it's much nicer, already
use it in linux and windows.

however ffmpeg took me 60 minutos to compile and make a usable aplication..

and if gstreamer has no plans to evolve to android i will ser ffmpeg..
