Could I use fbdevsink as the linux framebuffer video sink?

You will need to debug the interaction between fbdevsink  and your
driver. Run with GST_DEBUG="*fbdev*:5" and see where the messages come
from inside fbdevsink. Check what t gets from your driver and why it is
not happy about it.
