so i added the following to the patch file

Subject: [PATCH] RTMPDUMP

---
 librtmp/Makefile | 1 -
 1 file changed, 1 deletion(-)

diff --git a/Makefile b/Makefile
--- a/Makefile
+++ b/Makefile

- SO_LDFLAGS_posix=-shared -Wl,-soname,$@

but now after building it gives this error

Running command 'git add *'
Running command 'git commit -m "Initial commit" > /dev/null 2>&1'
Running command 'git am
/Users/devdesks/Downloads/cerbero-1.2.1/recipes/rtmpdump/patch.patch'
Applying: RTMPDUMP
fatal: patch with only garbage at line 8
Patch failed at 0001 RTMPDUMP
The copy of the patch that failed is found in:

/Users/devdesks/cerbero/sources/darwin_x86_64/rtmpdump-2.3/.git/rebase-apply/patch
When you have resolved this problem, run "git am --resolved".
If you prefer to skip this patch, run "git am --skip" instead.
To restore the original branch and stop patching, run "git am --abort".
***** Error running 'buildone' command:
Recipe 'rtmpdump' failed at the build step 'extract'
