Counting video frames and audio samples on GstBuffer

Hello,

Greeting to all, and my best wishes to gurus.

I'm now trying to assessing pipelines to inspect things like frames
dropped, latency etc. And I've successfully inspected into pipelines, and
I'm having the question as the title.

So how can I count video frames or audio samples from GstBuffer in the
chain function?
