Debugging gstreamer-related issue

Hello everyone,

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and would like to use gnome-dvb-daemon to watch 
digital broadcast TV with totem. Recording works, and when I select a 
channel in totem, the "Lock" LED on the tuner lights up after a few 
seconds. However, I'm getting just a black picture, and judging by the 
debug output, it's a gstreamer-related issue (see below) - I'd say the 
mpegtsdemux plugin is to blame...

My package versions are:

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any related bug report; it 
may well be that some Ubuntu patch is to blame. I'd like to track this 
bug down, but I'm currently at a bit of a loss where to start.

So, two questions: does anybody happen to have an idea what the reason 
for this bug is? And if not, can someone give me some pointers how to 
start debugging this?
