Building x264

Hi,

I'm using gstreamer-0.10 on a buildroot generated Linux system & I'm trying
to get x264enc on the platform. A far as I can tell the --enable-x264 switch
is defined but it's not getting built - reporting
configure: *** Plug-ins with dependencies that will NOT be built:
        a52dec
        amrnb
        amrwbdec
        cdio
        dvdreadsrc
        lame
        mad
        mpeg2dec
        sid
        twolame
        x264

What is the dependency that x264 has ??
