status of GStreamer on android

My company will soon be moving our application to the android platform and
I will be asked to recommend how to handle video and maybe audio. So I need
to know how well GStreamer currently works on android. How complete is the
port? Is it ready for 'prime time'? Are there currently any production
GStreamer based android applications?

Thank you very much for the feedback. Also, all of the developers have done
a great job building GStreamer.
