Gstreamer plugin

Hello, i'm new in gstreamer and i want to create a plugin. i downlaod the
Gstreamer plugin writer's guider and the gst-template.
i compile the plugin and add video caps to test it.But in _chain() function
i have this error:
  > gstbasesrc.c(2626): gst_base_src_loop ():
/GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstFileSrc:filesrc0:
     streaming task paused, reason not-linked (-1)
And i want to explain me what is the role of _chain() func.(My plugin has
two pads;sinkpad ,srcpad)
Please help me,
