That sounds like your Windows has multiple versions of the same library
in $PATH, some being incompatible... and that then causing various
applications to explode. The good old Windows DLL hell :(
Could you check what's in your $PATH and if there are conflicting
things?

Take a look at the documentation link I've put in my last mail :)
There's a section about exactly what you try to do.
