Problem with GES on windows question

Hello

So, I have been trying to debug a problem on windows with GES.

Let's say I have

CLIPA:GAP:CLIPB

on a layer, GES/GST would crash when going from CLIPA to the GAP.

I suspect that problem is occurring when connecting the videotestsrc 
generated for the gap to the smart-addr to produce a blank screen.

Where does this switching take place? I suspect it's somewhere in 
GNonLin, but I am not familiar enough in the code to know where at the 
moment.  Any help is kindly appreciated.
