adding custom plugin for gstreamer pipeline for android

I'm calling this method within the tutorial-3.c gst_native_init() method
because the android app when launched initializes gstreamer using
gst_native_init() method.
I do not have a gst_init() method at all. Am I suppose to? Because the
tutorial-3.c file from Gstreamer android tutorial 3 does not have that
method.
Any ideas?
