Hardware decoding on Android: "No element decodebin"

Thank you. I tried that, and the not found error is gone now. Unfortunately
the video is not being displayed when using decodebin. The screen stays
black. 

I'm not sure if this is of any help but even though Gstreamer tells me that
initialization completed, before that  there are a couple of warnings one of
them saying "OMXCodex: Failed to set standard component role
'video_decoder.vpx'". (The other ones say: Decoder color has unknown color
format and unsupported mimetype 'audio/...')

Any help is greatly appreciated.
