Switching Video Streams in Pause

I have performed some more experiments which may help.  I tried mkv and avi
containers and dv25 streams, none of which made any difference.  I also
split up the commands so there is no likelyhood of requesting an event too
soon.  

The sequences are as follows:

pause>change angle>seek = ok
pause>change angle>seek>play = ok
pause>change angle>seek>(ok)>change angle>seek = lock up, seek does not
return, play does nothing.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?  I am using the SDK so does
this mean I'm using 0.1 libraries?

Any advice would be most welcome.
