Totem freezes when subtitle is turned off

Hi,

I am using Totem (3.10-1) & Gstreamer1.0 on Ubuntu 14.04.
gstreamer1.0-libav, gstreamer1.0-plugins-base/good/bad/ugly/dbg
(1.2.3-1) are all installed.

In totem, after starting a video file (avi/mkv) if I switch subtitles to
none, totem completely freezes & the video stops playing.

This is similar to this very old bug
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=419751) which was then
fixed with playbin2.

P.S. This can also be a bug in totem...but I am asking here because in
past, similar bugs were reported against gstreamer.
