Mux private data into mpeg-ts

Hey,

I'm looking for a way of muxing arbitrary private data into a transport
stream. There was a feature request once
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/gstreamer-bugs/2012-April/089611.html)
but nothing much seem to have happened since. I'm willing to do it myself
but I'm looking for some pointers as to how I should or could proceed.
