It should be possible to pass around more channels without any
channel-layout (i.e. all channels have layout 'none').

It should also be possible to play this with e.g. alsasink in
combination with a suitable device that has sufficient outputs (see
ancient bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345188 ).
