Request for information on Video3D plugin

They're mostly useful as prior art to look at, but I don't think they
are immediately relevant or should be ported over in their current
state.

The hardest part is figuring out suitably flexible and complete APIs
and signalling conventions. The relevant bug for this is
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=611157 but there are others
that are MVC-related.

We're working on this, so there should hopefully be some progress in the
not too distant future.
