connect two pipeline serially

Hi,

is it possible to connect two pipeline serially?

i have    MainPipeline, pipe1, pipe2.

pipe1: Element_1a -> Element_1b
pipe2: Element_2a -> Element_2b

I need to connect the output of pipe1 to the input of pipe2 and then send
seek event to pipe2. (without effect on the elements in pipe1..) 

is there any way to connect the two pipes? without connect the elements:
Element_1b->Element_2a.


Ill be happy for some help..
