Animated .gif files are not supported?

Writing a decoder for animated gifs, based on one of the many gif
libraries out there shouldn't be too difficult. You just can't use
gdk-pixbuf for this for the reason Luis mentioned, but otherwise there
really shouldn't be a problem with that.
