Multiple Appsrc in a single Gstreamer Pipeline

Hi,
   When I get video or audio frame with Data and PTS it is necessary to
calculate buffer->duration?

   GST_BUFEER_PTS = frame.pts*GST_MSECOND
   GST_BUFFER_DURATION = ?

  Is it necessary?
