Git repo's slow?

Is it just me or are the git repos terribly slow:
+ Setting up common submodule
Submodule 'common' (git://anongit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/common)

Cloning into 'common'...

fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
fatal: early EOF

There is something wrong with your source tree.
You are missing common/gst-autogen.sh
make: *** No rule to make target 'install'.  Stop.

Tried multiple times.

Anybody knows of mirrors?
