install gstreamer-1.0 good plugins

I am not sure how did you install it on ubuntu ?

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gstreamer-developers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gstreamer1.0


Alternatively you can build and install (1.4.1) follow this link,
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/cvs/multimedia/gst10-plugins-base.html
