Not able to compile

Hi,

I have gstreamer-0.10 and gstreamer-1.0 both installed on my system.

Compiling with gstreamer-0.10
I am not able to find mad plugin even though i have installed
following plugins for gstreamer-0.10

gst-plugins-bad-0.10.23/  gst-plugins-base-0.10.36/
gst-plugins-good-0.10.31/ gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.19/

How can i install mad plugin so can i execute mp3 pipelines.

Compiling with gstreamer-1.0

Everytime i am compiling with gstreamer-1.0 i am getting the following error:

/usr/lib/gcc/i686-linux-gnu/4.8/../../../../lib/libgstreamer-1.0.so:
undefined reference to `g_type_check_instance_is_fundamentally_a'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
