Troubleshooting gst-launch freezes/hangs - how?

Tried running it in gdb. Startup up fine, but shortly afterwards everything froze up again, at that point a whole lot of additional caps were printed out to the screen (the -v option) as below.

I left it running to see what it would do, and later on it seemes gstreamer had been killed - I suspect oomkiller might have been involved.

What would this additional sudden set of caps be trying to tell me? Is it receiving a specific type of packet of some kind that’s not handled?
