rtsp buffering

Hi,

     When playing any rtsp stream in default BUFFER_MODE_AUTO(SLAVE), is it
possible to show buffering percentage?
     Sometimes it takes time to buffer and play, but application will not
know that it is buffering, so it appears that it is stuck...
     Tried using BUFFER_MODE_BUFFER. It does show the buffering percentage.
But it converts the stream to a live stream i guess(not exactly sure about
this.).. So in this mode, on seeking it enters an infinite loop and never
seeks to the required position and there is no error thrown as well.
     Tested this with playback-test in the latest master and the behaviour
is same.

     Can you please guide on how to proceed. Basic requirement is to get the
buffering percentage and seek/play/pause/resume should work fine...
