If sync=false solves a problem, this hints at a bug somewhere, most
likely a timestamping problem.

But in your case I think the problem is only the latency. Try setting
the latency property on rtspsrc to something smaller than 2000 (ms). By
having it at 2000ms, everything will wait in the beginning for 2
seconds.
