That's indeed a bug in compositor, it was reported here already:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=755782

You seem to have a testcase that somewhat reliably reproduces it, can
you attach that to the bug report? We were missing something to
reproduce it to be able to make some sense out of it :)
