deinterlace method=0 with mpeg2

Hi, I found that deinterlace element methods other than 2 and 5 are not
working with my MPEG2 stream. In fact they will work but only until the
first key frame (or that's what I feel), basically for about one second.
Then the image gets distorted completely as an attached image shows. Is
there anything in the pipeline that I can insert before the deinterlace
element to make it work as expected?
