Issue with alsasrc linein noise capture

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. I'm having some issue
with capturing alsasrc with linein

Pipeline is as follows
gst-launch-1.0 alsasrc ! voaacenc ! mpegtsmux ! udpsink port=10.0.0.123
port=5050

Centos : I just get silent audio
Ubuntu 14.04 : The idea is captured but has lot of noise. arecord, audacity
are also having same noise
To isolate if the issue is with hardware, I checked on a windows machine
where the capture is perfect(tested with audacity)

Am I missing something in alsa or pulse configuration?
