Is there any plan for MMT playback?

Dear all.

Soon, ATSC 3.0 will be applied for next generation broadcasting service.

The main 2 technologies for ATSC 3.0 are MMT (MPEG Media Transport) and
ROUTE (Realtime Object delivery over Unidirectional Transport) which
reconstruct several mp4 files (ISOBMFF based).

I think ROUTE playback is possible because it's DASH based. But MMT
playback is not possible because current qtdemux doesn't allow multi-file
playback.
So is there any plan for making MMT playback possible?
