X265 plugin build issue in gst-plugins-bad 1.8.3

Hello

On Ubuntu 15.04 64 bit system, I am building gst-plugins-bad 1.8.3 package.
While ./configure i get below error

*configure: *** checking feature: x265 plug-in ****
*configure: *** for plug-ins: x265 ****
*checking for X265... no*
*configure: No package 'x265' found*
*configure: *** These plugins will not be built: x265*

I have installed x265 package by sudo apt-get install x265

Still i am facing the same error in ./configure
and x265 plugin is not getting build.

Please let me know what step i am missing.
