retrieving buffer timestamp after writing to filesink's location

Dear All,
My question is about the structure that the buffer will be written in
filesink element's location. I wonder if filesink writes only the buffer
data (without other meta-data like buffer's time stamp) or it writes the
whole buffer content to the specified location.
In other words, how can I get access to buffer's time stamp after writing
it to the location of a filesink element.
