Mute microphone

Hi,

Since the original post only says the attempt was unsuccessful, it is
uncertain if it is a totally non-functioning pipeline or if only simply the
mute property did not work as expected. If it is a functioning pipeline and
only mute is not working, then perhaps setting the volume property to 0.0 
(it is of type double) since that should also mute the audio.
